It is really important for you to book your ticket in advance through the Eventbrite booking system. Prebooking is required so that I can control the numbers of walkers and ensure everyone enjoys themselves.

The maximum number of walkers will be 20 and will normally be significantly smaller.

If you are unable to pre-book via Eventbrite you are welcome to attend and pay on the day. But you must still inform me that you plan to attend because I can only guarantee attendance with prior notice.

Please contact me via e-mail or through the contact form on this site. Include an e-mail or phone number. I will then confirm your booking and meet-up details.

Shortly after booking the walk through Eventbrite, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail. At least 48 hours before the walk you’ll receive a second e-mail through Eventbrite sharing specific instructions about the meeting point and the first stop on the walk. You’ll also receive my mobile number.

If you’re running late, please text me as soon as you can. Please note that I’ll start the walk on time and I won’t be able to respond to calls after I start, out of respect to other walkers.

If you cancel through Eventbrite at least 24 hours in advance, you will be offered a refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another walk. However, Eventbrite’s policy is not to refund its own booking fee, which is included in the price of the ticket, so any refunds requested will not include this amount.

Iya London Walks go ahead, rain or shine. However, in the rare event of the Meteorological Office issuing a red warning covering the location of the walk, I will cancel the walk, giving you as much notice as possible. I will contact you by e-mail or text to offer you either a refund or the chance to transfer your booking to another walk.

Extremely unlikely.  The main possible causes for cancellation would be extreme weather conditions (see above) or some large scale transportation failure.

In the unlikely event that a walk ever has to be cancelled, I will give you as much notice as possible of this and contact you by e-mail and text to offer you either a refund or the chance to transfer your booking to another walk.

If you are aware of and concerned about such a possibility, then contact me in advance to confirm that the walk is going ahead.

In the extremely unlikely event that this ever happens, you will receive a refund.

If I know that I will be unable to attend in advance, I will give you as much notice as possible. I will also offer you either a refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another walk.

The duration of each of my walks is indicated on this site, as well as on the Eventbrite booking page. Current walks last between 2  and 2¼ hours.

The maximum number of walkers on my walks is 20 and is often significantly smaller.

Yes. I am a qualified Open City guide and I have public liability insurance.

However, please remember that you are responsible for your own safety on a walk.

I will do everything I can to accommodate your needs. If you require accommodations, please get in touch before booking a walk to discuss how your specific needs can be met on the walk.

All children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult if they are under 16. You must purchase a concession ticket for children aged between 15 and 17. You don’t need to purchase a ticket for children aged 14 and under.

The suitability of each walk for children varies. Please refer to the FAQ on the Eventbrite booking page for each walk where you’ll find specific information about suitability. If you have any questions, please get in touch with me before booking a walk.
